Horizon Europe is the central R&D funding programme of the EU for period 2021-2027, spanning over all scientific disciplines. It builds more connected and efficient European innovation ecosystems, creates world-class research infrastructures, supports the green and digital transitions and targets global challenges while supporting European industrial competitiveness.

Possible usage of the funding instrument in the P2G context: The theme of biomass, renewable electricity and gas sectors coupling via P2G hubs can find its way in R&D funding in many different parts of Horizon Europe. Emphasized is Pillar II and its following clusters: Digital, Industry and Space; Climate, Energy and Mobility; Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment.

Geographic Scope EU and Associated Countries may be funded practically on all calls; for third countries specific conditions vary from one call to the other
Eligibility Criteria In a project there should be at least one independent legal entity established in a Member State; and at least two other independent legal entities, each established in different Member States or Associated Countries.
Co-Financing Rate Depends on the type of the action/project call; for the research and innovation action it is 100%, for innovation actions it is 70% except for non-profit bodies where up to 100% may be applied
Volume Varies from call to call, indicated as orientation value for a specific call
Duration Varies from call to call, indicated as orientation value for a specific call
